We adopted our Teddy Bear, 13 yrs ago. His foster mom named him Teddy, we kept the name because it fit him. Our vet calls him the wonder dog, since we dot him at 16 months old, not only did we have to house break him, but teach him how to walk on a leash. He has had 1 toe removed at 2yrs old, diabetes at 6yrs old, cataracts surgery at 8 ys old, pancreatitis at 10 yrs old. He still plays like a puppy and loves his walks, but now he is slowly becoming very lazy . We have had to change his food do to his health issues. Currently on Farmers Dog and homemade Chicken and rice and vegetables. He is losing his hear along his spine.

Yes im in the process of adopting one of these breeds i had a lhaso apso but i lost him and it broke my heart im just looking for a companion and a friend.

I have a 4 month old shichon her name is Candy , she is so sweet so fluffy and cute and very very smart she is a ESA dog and I want to make her into a PSD dog she already responds to my anxiety attacks, she is house broke , and is learning all the basic commands she is very good at sitting on command , we need to work on coming when called although she knows what she is supposed to be doing ,

We have a hard time when walking our teddybear .if there are other dogs out he gets crazy and hard to control. Then he gets the sence and won’t stop .there is one dog and owner he has a big problem we try not to go the same way..even walking past there house he already is.excited and.hard to control never imagined it would be so hard to walk.a small dog..
Even people on.bikes or go carts.hes 15lbs and 10yrs.old in.nov.he also has allergies and is on hydroxizine. Believe me he is loved by all of us

I loved my Shih Tzu Bichon Frise. I often called her many names, beauty, happy dog, even though her name was Bijou. They like kisses on her head & cheek, and they are fun to feed when they get hungry, I liked feeding her tortillas in her old age when she barked for some. They are nice to people, even if sometimes, they don’t like being around other dogs.

Thank you for the info, I had a teddy bear but he passed away in December so it was nice to read about this breed again. It encourages me to know that one more teddy bear puppy is the right dog for us. We’re older folks and I am looking forward to our puppy, it’s only two weeks old at this time.
