I rescued one on a dead end road. She talks like Scooby Doo when she is excited, playing or wants something. Does anyone else have a dog like this?

Love my shollie, she will be 14 in January, had since 8months and and we are her 4th owner. She is smashing life, yes her left hip has gone and the leg turns in, right very slowly going the same way, bad arthritis, eyesight not as good she still living her best life, she don’t do that really slow old dog walk. She will run around like a young pup. Has so much love in her, is great with our rabbits, so well behaved she never has a lead, and I can leave my front door open and know she will only wonder jus out the front and sit in the sunshine. She really is the most beautiful soul, the best girl myself and my children can ask for, be lost without her.

Very useful post. I just realized the street puppy I picked 3 years ago in Bulgaria, is not such a mongrel. Now Biggie lives in Devon in England, UK. He doesn’t obey or understand any commands, but he is very smart and saved the life of a French man last year, as dragging him while drunk at night in forest. There is nothing wrong in cross breeding…

Are there any3 to 4 year old female rescue dogs in Lancaster or Chester county in Penna I have a farm and my border collie blue heller mix just died I had her 14 years

Does a border collie shepatd mix do well with cats

We have a shollie, she is lovely. Smart and really calm inside, but will run forever outside. She does very well with other dogs and cats. She will hunt though and often comes home with her kills. She doesn’t hunt for food…she hoards the carcasses as if they are toys. She also finds random junk in our fields (we have 19 acres) and she brings it home to her collection.

11 yrs ago … I met Jake, my shollie and the best friend I’ve ever had. I wasn’t looking for a dog nor did I want a dog & had never had a dog and had no idea how to care for one. But… he was about to be killed because the owners couldn’t find him a home soooo .. I took him to try and find him a home. well … 2 hrs later … I WAS IN LOVE ! He has gone everywhere with me and I didn’t have to learn how to care for him … he learned how to be what I needed him to be. Loving, loyal, affectionate, protective, fierce (if needed) and skeerdy cat (storms, guns) all balled up in the most hilarious yet awesome furry package. No health problems and aside from loving to try to bite … lol … policemen … Jake’s the best thing to ever come into my life. 5 girlfriends later and my boys still my co-pilot and the mostintelligent one in the truck. I hope when he’s gone I’ll find another one. no other breed is acceptable. I just had to share Jake’s story and if anyone knows of a reputable breeder I’d love to have this info when my boys times up.. whew that’s scary … But I can never be w/o a shollies again .. they are easy to become addicted to and I’m hooked for good !

I just love my Sholly. Ive had hm since he was a year od. In June he’ll be 10. The only con tto having a Sholly is their shedding, but he is still a great dog.

I’ve got a shollie puppy and need some tips on potty training . I have no experience training at all .
