I have had dogs and cats my whole life when I rescued my dog Sammy a year ago it was the best thing I ever did .. He is EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT learns fast high energy and Is A Certified support animal for my 25 y/o son. I can’t Imagine our Life’s before him.

So I rescued this Pihuahua or Chipit from a lady who abused her. Her name was Princess. I changed it cause everytime I would say that word she would shake and literally have tears running out her eyes. So I took to calling her Margie Samantha. Margie is what came to mind when I saw her and got her home and cleaned up. Samantha came from the Character “Samantha” from Sex and the City.” She has more attitude and she is sassy. She is an amazing dog though. For my first experience with this type of chihuahua mix, it’s going great! She gets along with her mate Christopher Chase – Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. They play constantly. There have been a few accidents but overall an amazing crossbreed.

I have an amstaff pit bull terrier and I’m currently homeless and about a month ago or so she was molested at my tent and she was in heat. while I was away trying to charge my phone and a person I knew took advantage of my baby and got on his knees to mate his Chihuahua (jack) with my boo without my permission! Just wrong I still feel violated And they weren’t stuck together when I came back and caught him! Now she’s pregnant and I’m pissed well I was before I found out that they won’t be ugly and it’s a real thing! People do the most messed up stuff I kicked his ass the following week I’m outside why would you make my life harder than it is. And now she’s losing weight can someone recommend some thing that can help get her weight back up? While she’s going thru this?

I got my chipit by accidental good luck. A neighbor across the street had a beautiful blue pitbull terrier. She had the shape of a greyhound, but of course heavier. Animal control came by one day to take away the 12 pup litter and destroy them. They missed one pup and I grabbed her. She is now almost 11 years old and is the best dog I’ve ever had out of some dozen dogs. She is the smartest and sweetest dog I’ve ever had. She is about 14 in. tall and weighs 18 lbs. She looks like a larger tan Chihuahua with muscles. I call her Rosie. She housebroke herself and loves everyone. She seems to know almost every thing I tell her. Only one odd thing, she hates riding in a car. I feed her wet dogfood and give her half a can in the morning and another half in the evening. I love her to death. Sorry for the long post. I’m just proud of her.

We found the perfect rescue dog. Bongo is between two to three years old, and is 54% pitbull and 46% Chihuahua. He is full of energy, extremely smart, great with kids of all ages, and has not had a negative behavior with any dog. He needs lots of walks and playtime and is so affectionate. He weighs 30 lbs and is such a good boy!

Just adopted a chipit three months ago from our local shelter. Never heard of this mix’s before. She is now 6 months old and looks like a mini pit, very active, smart and yes a 30lb lap dog. Very strong. She does not like to be home alone. Wish I could post a picture of her. Pure white with black eyes

I have a chipit that I got from a rescue when she was just 8 weeks old. So pretty. She’s is almost 11 months old now. She has bug trust issues with everyone but me. She’s very stand offish but will warm up a little bit to others if they take it slow.
She was extremely hard to potty train. Only took until she was almost 8 months old and SHE decided she didn’t want to potty in the house anymore.
She snuggles with me on the couch, sleeps under the blankets with me and is literally my shadow everywhere I go. She also loves to go for car rides.
She’s rather short, standing maybe 15 inches tall and weighs probably 10-12 pounds.

I would like to add one of these pets to my family please call me so I can did out how I could get one. 2028783384

How do you tell, they told me chihuahua jackrussel 3 years ago when I got my dogs 1 looked just like a chihuahua the sister looks both. Wondered some time because of her temperment. Great dog great with my kids , but will go nuts if anyone new is around, and agrees I’ve at times, yet a squily lap dog

When I got my dog , he was a rescue and only about 3 months old. The Vet told me he was a chihuahua/terrier mix… Occasionally he would act a bit aggressive towards other people, but he did seem to get along with the “bigger” dogs. I would joke about him being a pi-hua-hua (pit bull and chihuahua mix) Always kinda wondered what kind of terrier,he was because he did not look like any typical small terrier breed I had seen before.

When I saw the pictures of dogs that look like him for this article,I knew right away I had been right all along. With that sweet chihuahua face, the broad chest and the powerful legs, who could resist such a little (15-16 llbs) rascal. Not sure if it is because he was a rescue or the master;s loyal sidekick, but he does not like to be separated from me for great lengths of time-for him that means on opposite sides of a door. What I have noticed is that he prefers burrowing in soft blankets. He is not too keen about new people, but once he gets to know them he takes ownership of them, has gotten eek a with 99% of the dogs he has met.

On a side note, he seems to be allergic to cat fleas and he had a reaction to a vaccine once. This past Fall, I almost thought I was going to lose him because of some intestinal blockage. Thankfully he pulled out of that without surgery. He does have some powerful back legs though. Being so little he can jump into my arms without me bending over to pick him up. He is generally well behaved when we are home together.

We do have some awsome play sessions. When he was younger, he would end up jumping for a rope toy I was holding and in mid air try to pull the rope away from me. Using his really strong neck muscles he could pull downwards, it took both hands to hold the rope when he would do this. He isn’t so rambunctious now, he is coming up on 7 years of age and just wants to sleep all day. Since the intestinal scare we stopped feeding him people food. So now he is gaining weight and will be getting a thorough check-up in a few weeks
