Came across Swiss Ridge and Sherri many years ago as I was fantasizing about getting a Bernedoodle. Knowing their short life span, I read on about her beautiful Bernedoodle and knew that I had found the best of both worlds. I still long for one and should I ever be lucky enough to afford one, I would definitely purchase a Bernedoodle from Swiss Ridge, even though it would take 9+ hours to drive up there to pick up this beautiful breed of dog. I read about them and the different breeders at least once a week. Love, love, love, them. Mine, that I don’t have has a name already. It is Faith’s Prince Harry. (I like Prince Harry as well.) Thank you for letting me go on about these beautiful dogs.

My Bernedoodle’s Mom is a Bernese/Pryenese and the Sire is a Standard Poodle. He is mostly white and a little black instead of the standard black,brown & white. Do you think this mix will pose health problems later? He is so smart and affectionate but I haven’t seen this mix anywhere else.

Loved reading this article. Wondering if there are breeders you would recommend that are close to Illinois? I am hyper-concerned about picking the wrong breeder. I have to two highly allergic family members that often times are sensitive to golden and lab doodles. I have always wanted a Bernese but with my husband and daughter that would never be possible.
