We just got our first Alaskan husky Braxton and he was a perfect addition to our family. We have a older beagle and he has brought her young spirit back out they play tug of war with each other and even ball together they don’t even care if we participate half the time. But he is a family dog. He loves us all . He was perfect for us he is brown with one light blue eye and one eye is half blue half brown. He is the prettiest boy I have ever saw. We are camping, hiking family and he loves going with us already. We can’t wait to see if he likes kayaking too.

Hi my husband just got me a dog I have been sick for z as wile Wright away she came home that night got close to me bad know I’m trying to learned how to train her she has the blue eyes.
I didn’t know much about her I found that’s she’s a husky band I will learn more as I go along may it not the right dog but my husband bought it for the ur wedding anniversary.I have to o armed more but I’m glad I have her it’s was just one day today. Luv her already

This is a great write up and on spot regarding the Alaskan husky. We rescued a white husky ( why someone dumped him is beyond me to believe anyone would not want this beautiful awesome dog). He had one brown eye and one blue eye. He is chipped and no one called to claim him so he is now in our family. He is 3 years old and I have worked with him for 4 months now and it didn’t take long to train him and get him to obey commands. He is the most wonderful friendly dog and we love him. I want to breed him and get an offspring from him. These dogs are really great pets. If you can handle a big dog they need lots of attention and exercise.

I am having a husky and not sure wether siberian or alaskan or what food to give them. The poor do has been neglected, no walks, shut indoors all day and fed some time. But all that is about to change today. I’ve always trained dogs in obedience, taken them jogging and walking for the last 50 yrs and will treat this dog the same as the other dogs I’ve had, German Shepherd 3, lab 1 cross between a jack ruusel and terrier. the dog I’m having will also go to the pub a behave. I look forward to having a hussy. Perhaps I could rig up a harness and he’ll pull me disabled wife on a trolly when we go out. Read the article and found it very informative. Thank you.

Great article. You are very accurate in your description of the alaskan. Ours is now 17 months. His Mom is a Siberian his Dad an alaskan. Very talkative, loves long brisk walks and activities of any kind. Real pack dog for sure. He is short haired with beautiful brown eyes. Great companion and he gets along really well with our two older golden retrievers.

We owne a 5 years old husky dog, but live in the north of Norway. I love this dog, she is pretty calm and get a lot off long trips. She loves to be outside, but also get inside and get kuddle. She has to have a strong leadership with her, because she will try put to be at the top of the rang in home.

But, if you love being outside, doing hiking, skiing, tenting, mushring, she is the perfect dog !
