My family has a dog and he doesn’t like his cage. He is three years old and we don’t put anything in his cage. What should we do so he likes his cage?

If we put the crate in the bedroom at night, which has worked, where do we put her and the crate when we leave? Will she see the crate as a punishment?

The best way to stop your dog crying in the crate is to ignore him. If you react he understands that it works and continue crying. Try positive reinforcement. Wait until he stops crying and give him some treats right away. Repeat few times. But DON’T REACT while he is crying. Also try to give him some toys, stuffed with treats, which will keep him busy. try both options, while you are at home, and see his reaction. This will give you an idea on where to place the crate will be better

Very helpful…we are first time puppy owners,,Huge help!

We live in the City. Our apartment has large windows at a busy intersection. Yet, it is spacious enough where parts of the apartment are not subject to the daily grind (noise). Our question: we are bring home a 9 week French Bull Dog in a week and don’t know whether to keep the crate near the window, or secluded, near a wall, while we are at work. We could see the noise either being a positive thing that keeps him busy or a stressor, that scares him. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

My husband wants to raise my french bulldog puppy crate off the floor to have her not whine at night when we put her in, so she can see us. We are having to lay on the floor for a couple minutes till she gets comfortable and go to sleep. We have only had her for 2 weeks and I have tried to tell him she will grow out of it, and get used to just having to go into it at night to sleep. Not to mention our bed is really high. What are your thoughts…
